KARACHI, June 26: Four ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on a higher side where a dozen vessels were berthed to unload and load containers ant to offload crude oil and to load naphtha. They are: Corin Thaikos, Hanjin Busan, Maersk Alabama, Tower Bridge, Nordwoge, Pu He and Iran Kordestan to unload and load containers, Iron Butterfly to offload and load general cargo, Johar to offload crude oil, Perseverance, to load naphtha, Hartati, to unload palm oil and Haru to load fish.
Seven ships, Iran Kordestan, Hanjin Busan, Maersk Alabama, Antarios Breeze, Shalamar, Sutra Tiga and Gavanic departed on Monday, while Conqueror, Serife, Orchid Bay, Nordwoge, Johar, Pu He, Corin Thaikos, and Perseverance, are due to sail out on Tuesday.Cargo handling activity on the wharves was on the higher side totalling 0.225m tons of cargo comprising 56,019 tons of export cargo including 2,779 and 1,632 tons of rice and cement and 0.169m tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Jo Brik, to load 9,000 tons of ethanol, Lalazar, with crude oil, Opal, with 7,000 tons of palm oil and Mol Silver Fern, with containers.
