Water pipeline blown up

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, June 24: Water supply was suspended to Pir Koh gas purification plant and residential area when a pipeline was blown up near Pathar Nullah areas of Dera Bugti district on Saturday.

Exchange of fire was reported in Sangsilla and some other areas between security forces and tribesmen.

Official sources said that tribesmen had planted explosives under a 16-inch diameter water pipeline in Pathar Nullah area and blew it up. “Working of the plant could be affected if water supply was not restored soon,” the sources said, adding that FC was supplying water to the plant from alternative arrangements.

Meanwhile, tribesmen fired five rockets in the Loti gas field area and exploded in the open. Three rockets were fired in Karmo-Wadh area.
