Heat-stroke kills 4 in Nawabshah


NAWABSHAH, June 24: Four people died of heat-stroke and over 80 others fell unconscious in Nawabshah on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Zeeshan, 7, Asif, 10, Jannat Khatoon, 40, and Imam Ali, 50.

More than 80 people were brought to hospitals after they had fallen unconscious owing to the sultry weather. Unannounced loadshedding added to miseries of citizens.

HYDERABAD: People of Hyderabad experienced another hot day as mercury soared to 46.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 46.5 with maximum humidity at 35 per cent and minimum at 17 per cent. The Met office forecast a very hot day for Sunday with chances of thunderstorm and rain in next 24 hours.—Agencies
