LAHORE, June 24: The Lahore Race Club (LRC) bids farewell to 2005-06 racing season when a card of six events will be gone through during the day/night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Two events each will be held over the distance of 1000m, three 1100m and one 1200m sprinting distance.

The feature event, a class IV division II handicap race to be contested over 1200m has a dozen runners barring last-minute withdrawals.

Of them four are on chance. They are: Namroud, Big Bird, Zargar and Poly Love.

On recent form and bloodline, Namroud, who had recorded a facile victory on previous run, has an edge over the others.

The other three may fight for the lesser remunerative positions. This will be the last race of the day and of the ending season.

The first race will be held at 5.30pm.
