HARIPUR: Criminals arrested

HARIPUR, June 24: The district police officer Haripur Syed Feroz Shah on Saturday, claimed to have “purged” the city of criminals and arrested a record numbers of proclaimed offenders required by police in a number of criminal acts.

Speaking to Dawn he said that district Haripur which used to be at number one in crime rate had successfully changed its status to a peaceful area with lowest crime rate among all the five district of Hazara division.

He claimed that in the year 2005 the police arrested 30 POs while during the last six months the police nabbed 37 Pos.
