PN ships to tour African nations, Saudi Arabia

KARACHI, June 23: Pakistan Navy Ships Nasr and Badr “are leaving for a goodwill cruise to the Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, De la Reunion and Saudi Arabia and Commander of Pakistan Fleet Rear-Admiral Asaf Humayun addressed the officers and men of the visiting ships”.

An ISPR press release issued here on Friday said that during the visit, Mission Commander Commodore Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and the ships’ commanding officers would hold meetings with naval authorities of the visiting countries.

It said the ships would conduct maritime exercises with the South African Navy during their visit to South African port of Simons Town.

The visit would enhance diplomatic and military ties with the African countries besides help promote mutual understanding between Pakistan and African navies. —PPI
