By Our Staff Reporter
KARACHI, June 22: Karachiites on Thursday experienced a very hot day as mercury shot up to 41 degree Celsius forcing most people to remain indoors and switch on their air-conditioners, creating power shortage in turn and ultimately rendering many areas without electricity.
The KESC had to resort to applying loadshedding in the entire city during day and night hours to meet the shortfall.
The weather turned hot because of a low pressure developed over the Arabian Sea sending northeastern winds from the Rajasthan desert, causing scorching heat across the city.
