KARACHI, June 22: The board of governors of the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology is meeting on June 24 under the chairmanship of the varsity Vice-Chancellor, Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmad.The agenda of the meeting includes consideration of recommendations of the selection board, academic council and board of advance studies.
The varsity's budget for the fiscal 2006-2007 will also be presented in the meeting for approval.
The board meeting will be attended by Mr Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Judge Sindh High Court, Justice (Retd) Fazle Ghani, Prof Dr M D Shami, member Higher Education Commission, Dr N A Baloch, Haroon Farooki, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Engr Mohammad Zakir Ali Khan, Brig (Retd) Qamarus Salam Khan, Engr Mohammad Adil Usman and Prof Dr Jawaid Hassan Rizvi, Dean Basic Applied Sciences.—APP
