UNITED NATIONS, June 21: UN Secretary Kofi Annan on Wednesday deplored the killing of three children and the injury of other bystanders in an attempted Israeli targeted killing of alleged militants in Gaza.
Mr Annan called on Israel to “respect international law” and to ensure that its actions were proportionate and did not put civilians at grave risk.
He sent his condolences to the families of the dead and the injured.
