ISLAMABAD, June 20: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday allocated a sum of Rs215 million for the maintenance of Aiwan-i-Sadr and parliament house. According to the CDA budget documents, these projects will be executed under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The CDA has received Rs19.12 billion for 15 government-funded projects under the PSDP.
These projects are: Construction of presidential estate colony at Aiwan-i-Sadr, Rs20 million; construction of accommodation for police at Aiwan-i-Sadr, Rs10 million; construction of a house for speaker National Assembly, Rs20 million; improvement of air conditioning facilities in Parliament House, Rs29.411 million; installation of close circuit TV system, Rs12.620 million; consultancy service for maintenance of centralised air conditioning system in parliament, foreign office and Pakistan Secretariat Block A,B,C,D,P,Q,R and S, improvement of HVAC and furnishing of Aiwan-i-Sadr, Senate hall and parliament house building, Rs20 million, and construction of permanent offices of chairmen standing committees of parliament, Rs100 million; improvement of sewage treatment plant phase I,II,III, and construction of phase-IV, Rs700.4 million; additional 3rd lane of Murree Road from Faizabad to Dhokri Chowk, Rs130 million; procurement of fire fighting vehicles for Islamabad, Rs306.419 million; construction of additional third and fourth lane on Kashmir Highway from Golra Mor to Peshawar Mor, Rs200 million.— Our Staff Reporter
