Wullar talks on 22nd

ISLAMABAD, June 19: Talks between India and Pakistan on the contentious issue of Wullar Barrage will be held on June 22. Water and Power Secretary Ishfaq Mahmood will lead the Pakistani delegation at the negotiations.

The Indian delegation will include water secretary, legal advisers, engineers and commissioner of the Indus Water Treaty.

Islamabad opposes the Wullar barrage on the grounds that it will disrupt water flow from river Jhelum into Pakistan.—PPI
