Justice for rape victim sought

ISLAMABAD, June 19: A number of civil society organisations here on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the government’s inability to bring to justice accused in alleged Sonia Naz rape case.

The rally started from China Chowk in front of the ministry of women development and culminated in front of the Supreme Court. The participants of the rally demanded of the government to give exemplary punishment to the alleged rapists of Sonia Naz.

The rally was organised jointly by PATTAN Development Organisation, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Actionaid, HRCP, SUNGI, Aurat Foundation, BEDARI, Rozan and others.—A Reporter
