KARACHI: Contractor warned

Published June 19, 2006

KARACHI, June 18: The Gulshan Town, on faulty performance and failing to comply with the terms of contract, issued notice to a private contracting firm, M/s Al-Khalid Agency, and directed it to explain its position within three days.

In case of failure to respond within the specified period, they will face action, which may include a fine of Rs300,000, withdrawal of the contract and other legal action, said a statement on Saturday.

It further said that the notice was issued due the company's failure to ensure filling of garbage in trash cabins and shifting it to the dumping site.—APP
