Arrest of Aakhel elders demanded

KOHAT, June 17: The Bangash tribe has demanded arrest of the councillors and elders of the Aakhel tribe of Orakzai Agency under the joint responsibility clause of the frontier crimes regulation in the murder case of two female teachers and two children.

The grand jirga held in Ustarzai on Saturday again warned that if the culprits were not arrested by next Monday their tribe would trace them and exact revenge.

The meeting was addressed by MPA Syed Kalbe Hassan, secretary-general of the Tehrik Nifaz-i-Fiqqah Jaffria, Mazhar Ali Shah, union council nazims, Mahtabul Hassan, Iftikhar Hussain, Shabbir Hussain and a Tehrik-i-Insaf leader, Mian Shah Raza.—Correspondent
