KARACHI, June 17: Six ships carrying sugar, cars and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Conti Harmony, Kota Teraju, to unload and load containers, J. Safe, to offload steel, Rizcun Trader, to load rice, and Hyed Park, to offload tallow, were berthed after the departure of as many.

Eric G.ibson, Corin Thaikos, Orient Independence, Shujaa-3, Shao Shan-2 and Johar departed on Saturday, while J. Safe, Hyde Park, Kota Teraju, Conti-Harmony, Jin Ace, Yang Jiang He, Bolan, Giorgos and Al-Rabab are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 64,347 tons of export cargo comprising 13,204 tons of export tonnage, including 1,420 tons of rice and 753 tons of cement and 51,143 tons of import cargo, was handled.

The following vessels are due on Sunday: Maersk Alabama, MOL Asante, Tai He, Thor Captain, with containers, Galaxy Leader, with 650 cars, and Yong Xiang-9, with 12,200 tons of sugar.

The following are due on Monday: Sutra Tiga, to load naphtha, Sun Lavender, to load ethanol, Iran Baabaei, MOL Accord and Mol Kauri, with containers.
