ISLAMABAD, June 16: The International Islamic University (IIU) on Friday offered its support to the Afghan government in printing material that could promote brotherhood among Muslims of the region. IIU President Dr Mahmood Ahmad Ghazi made this offer while talking to a delegation of Afghan religious scholars during their official visit to the university.

The delegation, headed by Adviser to Minister for Haj Sher Mohammad Ibrahimi, comprised prayer leaders of prominent mosques of Afghanistan including Mufti Syed Hujjatullah Najeeh, Molvi Dost Mohammad, Molvi Safiullah, Molvi Ahmad Gul and Fazal Rabbi Haqbeen.

Briefing the delegation about the university, Dr Ghazi said that the largest community of foreign students in the university belonged to Afghanistan. He said a number of judges, advocates and other law professionals from Afghan judiciary had participated in various training programmes conducted by the Shariah Academy of the university.
