ISLAMABAD, June 16: Minister of State for Finance Omar Ayub Khan has informed the National Assembly that an amount of Rs319.049 billion investment has been made in different national saving schemes during 10 months (July-April) of the current fiscal year. He was responding to a written question of MNA Yasmeen Rehman who was seeking details of the amount invested in various in various schemes during the period under review.

Elaborating the details, the minister said Rs14.964 billion invested in defence savings certificate; Rs75.710 billion in special savings certificates; Rs14.131 billion in regular income certificates; Rs66.927 billion in Behbood saving certificates.
