KARACHI 59 cellphones snatched

KARACHI, June 16: Robbers took away at least 59 cellphones from pedestrians and motorists in different parts of the city on Friday.According to police sources, there were reports of snatching of 21 cellphones by armed suspects from various parts of the city on Friday, while 31 mobile phones were reported to have been stolen.Sources said that at least seven mobile phones also reportedly went missing on Friday.

Meanwhile, robbers took away 17 vehicles from different parts of the city on Friday.

Police said that armed suspects snatched three cars from Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Defence areas while the same number of cars was reported stolen from areas in Nazimabad, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Saddar.

On the other hand, armed robbers snatched four motorcycles from areas including North Karachi and Jamshed Quarters.

Robbers also made away with seven motorcycles from different areas of the city including Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Saddar and Jamshed Quarters.

recovered: The Anti-Car Lifting Cell of the Capital City Police Karachi conducted raids and recovered stolen vehicles including eight cars and four motorcycles on Thursday, adds PPI.

The registration numbers of recovered cars are AFS-403 Suzuki Mehran, PS Boat Basin; AFY-809 Honda City, PS Gizri; Z-3129 Toyota Corolla, PS Gadap; KN-4251, PS Sohrab Goth; KC-1818 Suzuki Pickup, PS North Nazimabad; PG-2056 Honda EXI, PS Jackson; CJ-0178 Suzuki Bolan; PS Shahrah-i-Noorjahan; and CG-9126 Suzuki Highroof, PS Taimoria.

The registration number of the four recovered motorcycles are RNN-6581 (Honda 125), PS Newtown; KBE-8675 (Hero 70), PS Sharea Faisal; KBC-1480 (Star 70) Zaman Town; and an unregistered (Super Star 70), PS Ferozabad.
