KARACHI, June 16: Five ships carrying sugar, wheat and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Giorgos-B, to unload and load general cargo, Erice G. Gibson, Global Prosperity to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of five.The ships, which departed included Hyundai Stride, Y.M.Moon, Satha Bhum, Buenos Aires, and Rising one, while Corin Thaikos, Shofu, Al-Fatah, Shjaa-3 and Sinar Bontang are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side totalling

123m tons comprising 25,722 tons of export cargo and 97,583 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Lalazar, with crude oil, Yang Jiang He, with containers, Yong Xiang-9, with 12,200 tons of sugar, Liberty Eagle with 3,940 tons of wheat and Hyderabad with general cargo.
