Brazilian cotton team visits KCA

KARACHI, June 16: A delegation of cotton growers from the Mato Grosso Cotton Growers Association (AMPA), Brazil, headed by Andrew Macdonald, international marketing adviser, AMPA, and former president of the International Cotton Association, on Thursday visited the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA). The objective of the AMPA was to represent the interest of its members, promote sale of cotton fibre, respect environment and protect the well being of members and associates, besides advising the government on policy and strategy.

KCA Chairman Zahid Bashir on the occasion highlighted the role of the AMPA in trading in cotton as well as the role of the KCA in regulating the marketing of raw cotton since its establishment in 1933, says a press release.
