Three killed in Waziristan

MIRAMSHAH, June 15: Three people, including a woman, were killed and 11 soldiers wounded in various incidents in the North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday night and Thursday. A paramilitary vehicle hit an improvised explosive device planted on a dirt track in Ahmadkhel village, about 8km from here, on Thursday. Official sources said two paramilitary soldiers were wounded in the blast.

A military vehicle ran over an explosive device in Dery Numa village of Spin Wam tehsil at around 3pm, killing one soldier and wounding six others.

The deceased was identified as Naveed.

In another similar incident, three soldiers were wounded when their vehicle hit an explosive device in the Derpakhel area in the afternoon. The vehicle was part of a convoy.
