SHIKARPUR, June 14: Three persons were killed and four others injured in an armed clash between the Qambrani and Marfani tribesmen in Garhi Yasin taluka on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said the clash started when some armed men of the Qambrani tribe attacked the Roos Marfani village.

The two sides used rocket launchers, Kalashnikovs and other automatic weapons in the fight.

Three persons, including a woman, identified as Ms Sheela Qambrani, Akbar Marfani and Punhal Qambrani were killed. Kuraro Qambrani, Lal Bux Qambrani, Shaban Qambrani and Jafar Marfani were seriously injured.

The injured were sent to the Civil Hospital of Shikarpur and Jacobabad.

The cause of fight is said to be a dispute between the Qambranis and Marfanis over killing of a man, Toto Marfani. The feud had so far claimed 10 lives.
