KARACHI, June 14: The Chief Secretary, Fazalur Rehman, on Wednesday sought proposals from the Works and Services department for vehicular traffic movement, car parking and security arrangements around the Sindh Secretariat.

He also issued directives for early completion of ongoing repair and maintenance works of various public buildings owned by the provincial government.

He was chairing a meeting at his office to review matters pertaining to transfer of offices of several departments in the Sindh Secretariat building no 6, and ongoing repair and renovation of the Secretariat’s buildings nos 1, 2, 3, 6 and Circuit House nos 1 and 2. The concerned departments presented reports in this regard.

The meeting decided to remove all hurdles in the ongoing uplift works and ensure its early completion by making strong inter-departmental liaison.

About the boring water at the Balochistan House, the chief secretary asked concerned officials to get a laboratory test of the boring water conducted and submit him a report.

He also directed them to complete renovation and repair of the Balochistan House by the end of this month.

The Provincial Secretary Works and Services, Syed Faisal Saud, Secretary Education Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Secretary General Administration and Coordination Abdul Qadir Mangi, Secretary IT Yahya Walliullah and others attended the meeting.—PPI
