Hants ready for Warne absence

LONDON, June 13: English county Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove admitted its captain ace spinner Shane Warne is likely to miss club's Twenty20 campaign to address a shoulder injury.

Warne is set to return to Australia for treatment on his bicep, and quipped he was “too old for Twenty20 cricket.”

This year's Twenty20 competition begins on 27 June and group stages run through to 11 July.—Agencies
