Musharraf to attend summit in Almaty
ISLAMABAD, June 13: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will represent Pakistan at the second summit meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (Cica) later this week in Kazakhstan, it is learnt.
The conference of the 17-member regional organisation aimed at promoting peace, security and stability in Asia will be held in Almaty on Saturday.
The president, who flew to China on Tuesday to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Summit, will proceed from there to Almaty on Friday.
