LARKANA, June 11: The People’s Party Parliamentari-ans MNAS’, protesting over the growing incidents of crime in Shahdadkot, took out a protest rally on Sunday in Shahdadkot. Carrying banners and placards, the MNAS’- Ramesh Lal, Anwar Bhutto, Shahid Bhutto and president of PPP Larkana MPA Ayaz Soomro, along with the citizens marched on the main roads of the town.

Raising slogans they assembled at ‘Kotoo-Motoo’ chowk and made fiery speeches. The former district nazim of Larkana, Khursheed Junejo, also joined the protestors when they observed token hunger strike and staged a sit-in for two hours at the chowk.

They said that robberies, extortions and threat calls to the traders’ community, specially Hindus, have become the order of the day in Shahdadkot.

The criminals roam freely in the town and issue threats to the business community for extortion, they said. Recently, a notorious criminal Malook Chandio attacked a trader Dileep Kumar at his shop for refusing to pay extortion money.

Dileep’s labourer Sarfraz Panhwar also got injured when Wichoon opened fire on them. Police have failed to arrest him, they PPP leaders added.
