Satiani storm in last eight

KARACHI, June 10: Qualifier Bharat Satiani stormed in the quarterfinals of the 10th KC Open snooker challenge at the expense of seeded Javed Ansari to complete the lineup at the Karachi Club on Saturday.

Satiani who the other day chalked up 4-3 victory against Ansari before going down 1-4 to Sohail Shehzad registered his second win when he downed Asadullah Aslam 4-0.

Ansari, on the other hand, tasted 4-3 defeat at the hands of Shehzad and failed to go beyond the league phase.

Seven seeded players have already made it to the last eight the other day.

The highlight of the day was Vishan Gir’s 4-1 triumph against former world champion, Mohammad Yousuf.
