Trace Hit poised to land Summer Cup
LAHORE, June 10: A seven-event card featuring the Summer Cup to be gone over the sprinting distance of 1200 metres has been drawn for the 6th Lahore Summer Meeting to be held at the Racecourse on Sunday.
The events to be contested in the day and night meeting are two each over 800 metres and 900 metres besides three over 1200 metres.
The feature event, the Summer Cup, a class IV and III combined handicap race has nine runners, if there are no last-minute withdrawals.
It looks a contest between three, a filly Trace Hit, a colt Alexander and a horse Empire Maker. Although placed on top of the handicap with nine stone four pounds weight assigned to her, Trace Hit seems poised for winning the top honours.
The other two should fight for less remunerative positions in this fifth race of the day.
The first race will be held at 5.30pm.
