KARACHI, June 10: A meeting held on Saturday, with the Chief Secretary, Fazalur Rehman, in the chair, discussed a plan of setting up an anti-encroachment police station and expanding its area of operation under the city government.

The meeting noted the need for making certain amendments in rules and regulations to enhance the working boundaries of police stations under the city government.

The meeting, therefore, formed a committee comprising representatives of the provincial law department, home department, police, the KWSB, the KBCA and the city government.

This committee will prepare its report according to legal requirements and submit it to the chief secretary within a week.
