Africa lags behind Asia, Europe




ABUJA (Nigeria), June 10: Farming experts warned this week that Africa was lagging behind Asia and Europe in food production because of soil degradation, saying a way out was for the continent to adopt Asian strategies. More than 200 million people face hunger in the world's poorest continent, in part because of Africa's low-yielding soils.
