KARACHI, June 8: The Nazim of Liaquatabad Town, Osama Qadri, on Thursday inaugurated the shifting of pipelines from back lanes to front streets in UC-3 (Super Market).

On the occasion, he said, it was necessary to keep separate water lines separate from drainage lines to ensure supply of safe potable water to citizens.

He said that Rs200 to 250 million would be spent on the project.

Earlier, the UC’s nazim, Imran Yousafzai, in his welcome speech claimed that Liaquatabad Town had not been provided with any development scheme in the last four years.

PARK: The Nazim of Jamshed Town, Muhammad Arif Ajakia, laid the foundation stone of Anwar Shaheed Park in UC-11, Patel Para, on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the town administration was doing its best to provide recreational facilities to citizens.—PPI
