Khipro by-poll today

SANGHAR, June 7: Arrangements for by-election on PS-80 (Khipro) have been finalized. The seat had fallen vacant after the death of MPA Anwar Adil Hingoro of the PML-F. The polls will be held on Thursday.

The main contestants were Umer Gul Hingorjo (PPP) and Shas Din Rajar (PML-F). Election staff and election material for 150 polling stations was despatched to Khipro on Wednesday.

About 150,000 registered voters will cast their votes. A heavy contingent of police has been deployed at all the polling stations.—Correspondent
