KARACHI, June 7: A public sector oil company has donated five million rupees for the establishment of a modern state-of-art operation theatre complex at Civil Hospital, Karachi.

The complex is being set up by Dowites '78, a registered non-profit society of doctors belonging to the 1978 batch of Dow Medical College. The organisation is working to improve healthcare facilities in the Civil Hospital.

The Managing Director of Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Syed Munsif Raza, presented the cheque to Dr Shafiqur Rehman, coordinator of the society, at a simple ceremony held at the PPL head office.—APP
