Three killed in Bugti area tribal fighting

QUETTA, June 6: Three people were killed and seven injured in an armed clash between two groups of the Kalpar Bugti tribe in Panjgur on Tuesday. According to reports received here, pro-Bugti and anti-Bugti groups of the Kalpar Bugti tribe took position in Gandoi area of Dera Bugti on Monday night and started firing on each other’s positions. The firing, in which missiles, rockets, mortar shells and heavy machine-guns were used, continued for at least two hours, a senior official told this correspondent, adding that the fighting claimed three lives while seven people suffered injuries.
