KARACHI, June 6: Pakistan will compete in the Asian Youth (girls) netball championship to be played next month in India. Twelve nations of the continent will be taking part in the competition pencilled in from July 23 to 29 at Banglore.

Netball Federation of India (NFI) will organise the event in collaboration with the Asian Netball Federation (ANF).

Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Maldives, Taiwan, Korea and Japan besides hosts India are the other teams taking part in the week-long event.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Federation of Netball (PNF) will be organising trials for selection of Pakistan team for the tournament on June 8 at Habib Girls School, Garden Road.

All the provincial associations, departments and educational institutes have been directed to send their outstanding U-21 player for the trials.--Reuters
