LAHORE, June: Gastroenteritis in Faisalabad has been overcome as only 95 patients are under treatment at present. This was informed at a meeting with provincial health secretary Javed Malik in the chair here on Tuesday. It said that 23 patients were being treated in the Ghulam Muhammadabad Hospital, 37 in the Allied Hospital and 35 in the DHQ Hospital Faisalabad.

It said that some 5,154 patients were admitted to different public sector hospitals in Faisalabad while 8,785 were treated through mobile dispensaries.

It said the authorities had overcome the disease throughout the province and constantly monitoring the situation. The health department had also started an awareness campaign by conducting seminars and individual contacts.
