LAHORE, June 6: The 19th meeting of the council of complaints (CoC), Pemra, Punjab, was held here Tuesday at the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority’s regional offices.

The meeting was attended by Nosheena Saleem, member and Kamaluddin Tipu, regional general manager/secretary CoC, PEMRA, Punjab, and Aftab Ahmed Vohra, vice-president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry who represented the LCCI chief.

The council approved the minutes of the 18th meeting. Complaints lodged by the general public against the cable operators of Punjab were heard in the presence of complainants as well as defendants.

The CoC issued a warning to cable operators found guilty of violating Pemra rules and regulations, and ordered inquires into complaints lodged by subscribers against some cable TV operators, says a press release.—APP
