KARACHI: Motorcyclist killed in road accident

KARACHI, June 6: A young motorcyclist died in a road accident in Shershah on Tuesday. Police said Naveed Shahzad, 25, was riding his motorcycle when a speeding lorry crushed him.

Police claimed to have arrested the errant driver, Mohammad Imran, following the accident. The victim was a stock broker and lived in Baldia Town.

KILLED: The body of a young man was found at a deserted place in Malir Cantonment on Tuesday.

Police said that dead was identified as Dilawar Khan from papers found on him. The victim died of a head injury inflicted with a blunt weapon, police said. Police shifted the body to the Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem examination.

SUICIDE: A widow committed suicide by hanging herself in Malir late Monday night.

Police said Rani Bibi, 45, lived with her daughter in the Malir area.

On late Monday night she reportedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her room.

Police said that what drove the woman to end her life was not clear. Her body was sent to the Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities, police said.
