KARACHI, June 6: Ten ships carrying chemicals, containers and sugar are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was light where only two ships, Maersk Alabama and Fayza were berthed to unload containers and steel coils. Sailing was, however, active as seven vessels, Corin Thaikos, Kota Tabah, Wan Hai-306, Troyburg, Superior Pescadores and Fu Yu Shan departed, while Athinoula and Ever Guard are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 62,810 tons comprising 20,539 tons of export cargo and 42,271 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Chang Jiang, with 13,424 tons of sugar, D.D. Master, with 23,600 tons of DAP fertiliser, Fiona, with chemicals, Swat and Shalamar with crude oil, Global Union, with chemicals, Marcalbria, Hyundai Future, Kota Waryna, CMA CGM Simba, with containers and Free Fighter, with steel.
