IFHR demands fee from JCP

Published June 6, 2006

LAHORE, June 5: The International Federation of Horse-Racing (IHRF) has directed the Jockey Club Of Pakistan (JCP) to send 6500 Euros as membership fees for the year 2006 for the first time.

According to prevalent currency exchange rate the amount comes to Rs503,750.

A JCP stewards meeting presided over by JCP chairman, Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa considered the demand of the IFHR authorities and decided to pay the fee during the next financial year because it was beyond the financial resources of the JCP during the on-going fiscal year.

The meeting also approved the demand of the Pakistan Horse Breeders Association for the provision of a stallion at the Lahore Race Club (LRC) to be available for breeding.
