KARACHI, June 5: Former international Anjum Nisar and Faraz Khurshid were extended to three games before moving into the semifinals of Karachi regional badminton championship at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre on Monday.

Anjum dropped the second game before overcoming Dr. S.M. Sayid 21-19, 19-21, 21-12 while Faraz Khurshid recovered after dropping the opening game to outpoint Luqman Javed 20-22, 21-17, 21-10.

Also joined Anjum and Luqman in the semifinals were Harrison Burnet and Waseem Ismail, who notched up straight games victories.

The finals of man and woman singles will be played on Tuesday.
