LAHORE, June 4: Strikes by Ramzan and Ehsan Ali helped Wohaib Club march into the Under-21 national football championship final with 2-0 victory over Pakistan Navy at Railways Stadium on Sunday.

Wohaib Club will take on defending champions Army in the final on Tuesday.

Wohaib Club made dangerous inroads through Usman Malik, Hikmatullah, Mohammad Ramzan and Adeem Shahzad, while Naeem Ullah, Qamar and Shahbaz Akhtar counter-attacked for Navy.

Wohaib Club slotted home the opener in the 36th minute when Usman provided a perfect pass to Ramzan who headed home, giving goalkeeper Syed Sultan no chance.

Two minutes later Wohaib Club made it 2-0 when midfielder Ali Ehsan capitalised on a defensive lapse and slotted home from 35 metres.

Wohaib Club could have scored more goals had they not missed some openings in the second half. Ramzan missed an opportunity in the 59th minute when he wasted a Hikmat pass from a close range.

The 70th minute saw Ramzan scoring off a Hikmat pass before being ruled offside.

Two minutes later Adeem cut in from right but failed to score.
