KARACHI, June 2: Two vessels carrying containers and yellow peas were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, LPG and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as six ships were busy in loading and offloading containers, sugar, yellow peas, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,945 tons comprising 67,312 tons of import and 7,633 tons of export cargo was handled.

Sailing was active as London Senator, Al-Mukhtarah and Tai Pan left the port while Great Marry was due to depart.

Five ships, Indonesia Star, China Star, Maersk Berry, Jaipur and Navigator Pluto, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
