HARIPUR, June 1: Tehsil nazim Iftikhar Ahmed Khan has said that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has sought comments from the District Coordination Officer (DCO) on a land dispute between the tehsil municipal administration and the district chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F).

The nazim said that the DCO had been directed to submit his comments by June 20.

He said that Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan, Khanzada Khan and some other notables of the Khalabat township had approached the chief justice seeking his intervention in the dispute.

The applicants said that a plot of land measuring 22 kanals was allocated in the main chowk in the township for playground but JUI chief Pir Syed Alamzeb Shah allegedly wanted to occupy it for his seminary.
