KHAIRPUR, June 1: The PPP, JUI-F and PML-F have decided to continue their efforts for reforms in the party organisations. This was decided at a two-day refresher training workshop for political parties. It was jointly organised by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) and Indus Resource Centre (IRC), which concluded here on Thursday.
The parties decided that the district steering committee (DSC) represented by men and women representatives of their respective parties would continue its initiatives for addressing major issues of the Khairpur District, including law and order and shortage of drinking water.
The parties also reviewed activities that were previously undertaken under this programme and decided effective changes in governance at local level.
The JUI-F was mutually made convener of the committee whereas it was decided that the IRC would coordinate with the JUI-F in carrying out and managing the activities of the DSC.
Over 20 members of the three political parties participated in the workshop. The workshop was supported by the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom.
