KARACHI, June 1: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has chalked out a programme to mark Independence Day celebrations in a befitting manner.

Various competitions have been planed in this regard in the second week of August.

A detailed programme has already been issue by the BSEK.

Accordingly, Hamd and Naat competitions would be held on August 7, Urdu and English speech contests on August 8, quiz competitions on August 9, and competition of national songs on August 10, it was said.

The prize distribution ceremony has been scheduled for August 12.

The board has sought nomination of four students for each event from every school, from classes IX and X, which should be submitted latest by June 30, said the statement.—APP
