Pakistan-India series planned this year

KARACHI, May 31: Pakistan and India would meet at the bridge table later this year, according to a top official of Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) on Wednesday.

Secretary PBF Tariq Rasheed Khan said that his federation was planning to hold home Test series against India sometime in this fall (October-November) adding that the dates would be finalised after consulting with the Indian bridge officials.

He said that playing against Indians would be highly beneficial for the home players as they were considered among the top bridge players of the world.

The secretary said that many bridge stars of the country including ace Zia Mahmood had already showed their interest to take part in the series.

He said that around five to six teams each from both the sides will take part in the series.—PPI
