GUJRANWALA, May 31: The district education department on Wednesday announced the result of middle standard annual examination, declaring 40,116 candidates successful out of 43,363 with 94.86 pass percentage.

According to EDO (education) Raja Khadim Husain, as many as 45,312 candidates were enrolled while 1,949 remained absent during the examination.

He said Sidra, roll no. G81585, of government girls high school, Satellite Town and Hafiz Zohaib Tahir, roll no. G65178, of government comprehensive high school got first position by securing 756 marks each. Syed Shahzada Qasim, roll no. G65177, of government comprehensive high school and Muhammad Noman, roll no. G69715, of government high school, M.T. People’s Colony bagged second and third positions by getting 742 and 738 marks respectively.

Later, the position holders were given awards and certificates at government Jamia high school, Gujranwala.

BAHAWALPUR: The result of middle standard examination, 2006, was announced at a function presided over by district nazim Tariq Cheema.

According to announcement, of 18,368 candidates, 16,765 were declared successful with pass percentage of 91.27. Muhammd Danish of Bahawalpur stood first obtaining 738 out of 800 marks. Hasilpur’s Ambrew Mushtafq and Rabia Ali got second and third position securing 719 and 717 marks, respectively.

According to a notification, of 19,718 candidates who took the examination, 17,601 got through with the pass percentage of 89.6.

The result was announced at a function presided over by district nazim Abdul Sattar.

In boys, Osama Tayab of Unique Shibli Model School, Chak 160-GB, stood first securing 743 marks while Umer Nasim of Government Model Elementary School, Toba, and Abdullah Khizer of Al-Barkat Model School, Gojra, got second place with 741 marks each. Salman Ashraf of Junior Model School, Gojra, remained third with 737 marks.

In girls, Farwa Batool of Quaid-i-Azam Higher Secondary School, Gojra, stood first with 725 marks while Saba Shabbir of Government Girls Elementary School, Chak 308-GB, and Wajeeha Razzaq of Zeeshan Elementary School, Kamalia, secured second and third positions getting 719 and 717 marks, respectively.

VEHARI: Executive District Officer (Education) Mrs Nasim Mansoor announced the middle standard examination result at a press conference at government model high school.

She said of a total of 19,256 candidates, 18,680 appeared in the examination and 16,392 got through, showing 87.8 pass percentage. The EDO said over-all first three positions were secured by boys belonging to Burewala tehsil.

According to the result, Nouman Akber, roll no. 4075, of government MC high school, Burewala stood first in the district with 769 marks. Mohammad Aleem Basheer, roll no. 5303, of Tabinda model school, Burewala got second position by obtaining 767 marks.

Asad Saleem, roll no. 4076, of government MC high school, Burewala stood third with 756 marks. The girls students who got first three positions in the district are Faiza Ikram, Zobia Shahid and Jaweria Mumtaz. They also belong to the Burewala tehsil.
