KARACHI: Water scarcity persists


KARACHI, May 31: Due to interruption in electricity supply to pumping stations in the city on Wednesday, many areas remained without water, according to a spokesman for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB).

He said that the pumping stations of LSR Hydrant, Kidney Hills and 19th Mile could not pump water due to the interruption in power supply and resultantly, the areas including Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Jamshed Town, Bahadurabad, Sharfabad, Shabbirabad, Bangalore Town, PECHS Blocks 2 and 6, Kashmir Road, Sindhi Muslim Housing Society, Mehmoodabad and Liaquat Ashraf Colony No 2 suffered water scarcity.—PPI
