KARACHI, May 31: Three ships carrying containers, furnace oil and iron ore arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 period. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as six ships were occupying berths to load and offload containers, rice, sugar, edible oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume 69,739 tons comprising 41,406 tons of import and 28,333 tons of export cargo was handled.

Sailing was slow as only Warbah left the port while Nedlloyd Muscat and Asian Gyro were due to depart.

Two ships, Ocean Harmony and Jaipur, with seeds and sugar were due to arrive at the on Wednesday, while London Senator, Xian Wan and Stolt Tenacity were expected to reach on Thursday.
